BURNCO is looking to add a Quality Control Technician to our team in Thornton, Colorado. Reporting to the Quality Control Manager, this position is responsible for the collection and testing of daily production samples to industry standards. Key Accountabilities
The primary areas of responsibility include:
Quality Control
Recordkeeping
Monthly Material Testing Requirement
What You Will Be Doing
Perform testing procedures, collect production samples for testing and analyze results Testing can occur at job sites or batch plants, must be mobile and flexible
Interact with customer to assure satisfaction with products and service within project specifications
Perform material and equipment inspections, check and calibrate for accurate measurements, perform stockpile inspections
Prepare test report with concrete physical properties and gradation results of the productions samples, compare to appropriate specifications, and submit results for review
Maintain proper documentation of test results, site activities, deficiencies, and reporting requirements
Report product deficiencies to supervisors or delegate for immediate action
Enter test data into data management system
Follow proper company policies, procedures, laws, and regulations including OSHA safety and quality standards Report safety hazards and create safety first culture
Participate in safety meetings
Daily scheduling of testing regiment
Other duties as assigned
RequirementsWhat We Would Like From You
Education & Experience
High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
ACI Certification Preferred
3+ years of related experience
Skills
Ability to maintain proper attendance while working irregular hours, including scheduled Saturdays
Valid Driver s License and ability to pass MVR
Ability to manage emotions in stressful or frustrating situations
High attention to detail and ability to prioritize day to day tasks
Knowledge of product technical specifications, basic computer proficiency and strong math skills with ability to use 10-key calculator
Commitment to safety, customer service and teamwork
Travel Requirement
75% locally

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly outside and exposed to various weather conditions including hot/cold temperatures and rain/snow conditions.
Employee frequently stands, walks, sits, climbs, bends, reaches, lifts to 50 lbs, carries up to 50 lbs, utilizes manual dexterity, fine motor skills, gross motor skills, color discernment and requires active hearing/listening.
Employee occasionally crawls, kneels, pushes and pulls.
Employee is exposed to loud noises, heavy machinery, moving equipment, oil, debris, solvents, smokes, gasses, fumes and aggregate materials.
Required PPE includes safety shoes above ankles, safety vests, safety glasses, ear plugs and hard hats. Additional PPE required if performing special jobs.
IMPORTANT: As this is a safety sensitive position, it is a condition of employment that candidates selected for hire must successfully pass pre-employment testing including a criminal background check, drug and alcohol screen (Cannabis included), and a physical assessment test.
