A leading broadcast services company based in London is looking for a Solutions Architect to join their team on a permanent basis. As Solutions Architect you will be the key contact for one of their major OTT clients and be responsible for defining high-level solution design and costing’s. As part of your role you will also work between the sales and engineering departments regarding any technical issues around bids and proposals. You will provide design ideas around new installations and improvements to their existing infrastructure and look at ways in which to standardise this.
To be considered for this role, our client is looking for applicants to be educated to degree level or equivalent in an engineering related discipline. Hands on commercial experience in the design of solutions for broadcast and OTT systems is key as is a deep technical understanding of a wide array of OTT technologies. Experience in the design and implementation of automation playout servers and workflow solutions for Media Asset Management and transcoding technologies is also important as is experience around encoding, multiplexing, IP and satellite distribution technologies. In particular, candidates that have worked on network architecture and are qualified to CCNA level or equivalent will be highly desirable. Previous experience working on solutions for Occasional Use Services and MCR distribution platforms is a particular advantage as is experience across live sporting events.
