Our client has a role available for a Sales Engineer within the Geotechnical Engineering sector. The main responsibilities for this role will be ensuring you are generating new business opportunities and meeting sales goals within software subscriptions and renewals, within your assigned territory. You would also be responsible for qualifying these incoming leads generated from any source and you would act upon the qualification accordingly. The role will be mixed with technical duties in the sense that you will be holding presentations and product demonstrations to your clients, devoting a considerable amount of time to visiting prospects, existing users and sales events.
The successful candidate will hold the following strengths;
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering or an equivalent level achieved through experience.
2-3 years of engineering experience is preferable.
Commercial Talent – up to 2 years; minimum experience in sales or customer service would be required, being able to close a deal in a pleasant non-intrusive manner.
Positive attitude, excellent verbal & written communication skills and the ability to effectively present information to users & prospects via phone, web and face-to-face.
Prepared and have the ability to travel up to 50% of your time.
