Our client is a leading manufacturer of Instrumentation used to monitor and analyse parameters within the environmental, waste and marine sectors. Their products range from systems to sensors and analyse for physical, chemical and biological factors within aquatic environments. They are looking to recruit a confident, outgoing sales Account Manager to join them at their offices in Surrey from where they will take responsibility for developing and expanding sales for their well-respected portfolio of products across the UK and globally.
The role will be part office based but with travel to customer sites and to represent the company at international events and conferences. Candidates must have a relevant academic background (degree qualified or higher ideally) in Marine biology, chemistry chemical engineering or related and will have an understanding and interest in aquatic sciences (environmental/oceanography etc.).
Candidates will have previous sales experience, ideally selling sensor, instrumentation or consumables to a related sector but any technical product sales experience (B2B) would be considered. The successful candidate must have strong communication and presentation skills and will be highly numerate. They will be target driven with a real motivation to exceed sales targets whilst providing customers with a consultative and quality service. This will include advising customers on product selection and how they can be applied within their business in order to develop sales. A full UK driving license is essential and applicants will also need to pass security clearance to sell into defence and related organisation.
