My client is an international electricity and gas company and one of the largest investor owned Energy companies in the world. They play a vital role in delivering gas and electricity to many millions of people across Great Britain and North-Eastern US in an efficient, reliable and safe manner.
This position leads a Team of Discipline Technicians ensuring compliance with the work schedule, competency and development
. Ensure enactment and compliance with Discipline Specific Legislation.
. Ensure maintenance is executed in line with standards and strategies.
. Provide technical discipline input into operational risk management.
. Support & participate in HS&E improvement initiatives to manage people, legislative & environmental risk.
. Plan emergency work using the CSL Processes and Procedures.
. Participate in root cause analysis to resolve Safety & Reliability issues.
. Participate in Management of Change reviews.
. Be a member of the On-Call Rota for specific discipline.
. Lead team of Discipline Technicians, ensuring competencies are maintained and within the scope requirements of the whole team.
. Contract/Tender events and budget management.

. Civil works experience
. Travel – driving license
. 5 years + experience
. Electrical and instrumental background
. Technical knowledge and experience in maintenance procedures and methods.
. Ability to provide people with the written information necessary to their job correctly.
. Attention to detail and organised approach to work.
. Ability to make relevant information known in a responsive and effective way.
. Ability to reach a conclusion using relevant information and data and to determine the best course of action in a timeframe consistent with business requirements.
. Ability to access and utilise materials and supply spare parts systems.
. Ability to predict maintenance job cost and time requirements with appropriate accuracy.
. Ability to use maintenance planning tools to develop job plans effectively.
. High levels of self-drive and motivation.
. Strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with all levels of the organisations.
