My client, a very well regarded and established Aerospace Engineering firm based in Poole, seek an experienced Production Engineer to join their team.
The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of load/capacity in workshop and machining production planning, will be fully Microsoft Excel conversant and will have a good understanding of load, capacity, workshop scheduling and supplier management.
Experience with customer communication and experience working according to a quoted lead time are a must, and experience working closely with engineers in a workshop environment would be very beneficial.
Responsibilities of Production Engineer are as follows:
Production planning for aerospace components in an SME using the Standard Production Management Sheet, Capacity Planning Model and Order Management System
Ability to populate a production plan with start/finish dates for both internal machining and external processing operations & Expedite to plan
Update Production Management Sheet in line with latest Customer Order Books/Customer Portals, amend capacity plans accordingly
Must put Customer Satisfaction first – Quality Product delivered on time and in budget
Daily liaison with Workshop to ensure they have all the necessary equipment to complete each job and source equipment when needed
Ability to work to the businesses BOCS to ensure all work is done inline with AS9100 and customer requirements.
Attend meetings – Sales / Recovery / Scheduling
Business Improvement using SIPOC – creation of and adherence to improvement plans
Reaction of OEE Data to Capacity Model
Raise Repeat Job Cards and & Issue all supporting Documentation
