Field Technical Sales – Food Industry Capital Machinery

The company has a very competitive product range of machines and consumables and is positioning itself to raise the profile of the brand in the UK and make a serious challenge to the competition and be recognised as the preferred supplier and long term partner to major players in 4 key market sectors – vegetables, potato, cheese and meat.
The next phase in this development of the UK business is to recruit a high-calibre sales / business development professional to help continue the development of sales activities throughout the UK & Ireland.
The Technical Sales Role:
As a sales engineer you will be in most cases the very first point of contact for our customers so making a great impression is key, therefore we are looking for enthusiastic, resilient individuals to join our vibrant and dynamic team. You will build rapport with our customers, establishing their needs and requirements is key to finding the right solution every-time. + Working within the UK territory as part of a team
+ Work with all customer and non-customer accounts
+ Develop and execute territory plans for development of the business
+ Work with all interested parties within the business to develop and implement the appropriate business strategy
+ Provide continuous input to the new product development process
+ Capable of preparing trials both internal and external on equipment and associated traded partner machinery
+ Daily use of internal CRM system (ACT)
+ Must be capable of producing end of month reports following a set template
+ Support the actions of the service team
+ Resilience and a must can do attitude.
+ Previous experience in sales and sales process is a must.
+ Strong communication skills are a must.
+ Ability to multi-task and prioritise workloads with good time management.
+ Engineering background at degree level or similar would be beneficial plus a history of customer support.
+ Poses a high level of administration ability to effectively manage paperwork.
Remuneration & Benefits:
+ Basic salary: £40,000.00 – £45,000.00 a year (depending on experience).
+ Commission: 5% of the total net profit per machine sale
+ Pension: Company pension scheme in operation.
+ Training: Full and extensive training will be given.
This is a permanently employed position and the contracted hours are 08.30 – 17.00 Monday – Friday. The successful candidate will be expected to work outside of these hours where appropriate to ensure all targets are achieved in line with the company strategy – in short this is not a 9 – 5 job but very rewarding.
