Search are working with a leading UK Tier 1 Contractor that is seeking to appoint a Contracts Manager to a key role within the Scottish business.
The business delivers high value new build projects from £20m – £100m + within the commercial, education, leisure sectors.
With a UK turnover of £900m +, high level cash reserves, a reputation for delivery and organic projected growth the company has built its business through four decades of excellence in the new build market. As a business that takes pride in successful delivery they enjoy a large cache of repeat business clients allowing a focus on quality and not price. The Scottish business unit has been expanding in recent years through a healthy mix of negotiated works and competitive tendering, with a dynamic leadership team in place the Contracts Manager position has been identified as a key part of operations.
Overseeing 3- 4 concurrent new build projects from £20m – £50m in value the contracts manager will have a remit to cover both Edinburgh and Glasgow. This challenging and rewarding role requires an individual who can manage, coordinate and ensure delivery of projects through the effective management of people, assets and relationships. To be considered you will need to demonstrate:
Education to degree level or equivalent in Construction Management or Civil Engineering discipline.
Significant tenure within the main contracting environment
A track record in delivering high value, new build projects
Strong knowledge of pre and post contract management
The ability to manage teams
Excellent client management skills
The ability to manage multiple projects
A stable work history that shows significant tenures within comparable businesses
A can do attitude
Flexibility to meet business needs during busy periods
Ambition to progress over the long term
