A multi-national utilities company are looking for an Asset Improvement manager manage the Asset Improvements for large district energy schemes. The role will be leading performance investigations and making recommendations to ensure optimised operation and profitability of those schemes. This role will demand a high standard of technical, operational and project management excellence plus understanding the financial, commercial and compliance elements of the successful operation of large-scale energy schemes. Ensure that Asset performance and commercial targets are met or exceeded.
Work with Asset Intelligence teams to track improvement savings.
Identify, plan and manage asset improvement projects to deliver maximum efficiency and value by optimising assets and scheme operation.
Ongoing analysis and optimization of the energy schemes performance, diagnosing problems and make recommendations.
When needed, implement rectification plans to ensure that energy is delivered consistently and efficiently to meet contractual and financial requirements.
Work with the team to investigate and identify the root cause of plant performance degradation and recommend/implement solutions.
Work with Operational teams and supply technical support to asset optimization.
Drive and maintain a High standard in Health and Safety
2:1 level Mechanical or Engineering degree or equivalent proven experience.
Experience in projects management of medium size projects.
Good commercial awareness with excellent communication both verbal and written
Technical experience of energy schemes heating and cooling systems, CHPs, boilers, utilities.
Good understanding of thermodynamics regarding efficient operation.
Good understanding of hydraulic systems operation, key area is large network balancing.
Experience liaising with stakeholders, clients and contractor management.
Chartership status from a respective institute would be an advantage
